If your organization currently uses Microsoft’s phone system and Microsoft calling plans for making Teams PSTN calls and wishes to enable text messaging with Evolve Voice & Text for Microsoft Teams, you should follow these steps:

  1. Switch to Evolve Cellular Voice & Text for Microsoft Teams: Transition your calling plan to Evolve Cellular to include text messaging capabilities.
  2. Complete Transition: Once your phone numbers are activated with Evolve Cellular, you can cancel your Microsoft calling plans  but you will keep the Microsoft’s phone system  licenses.

This process ensures you have the necessary capabilities for text messaging while optimizing your licensing and service setup.
